Event Description

Contractor success depends heavily on the field production of tradespeople. Lead towards efficiency and start seeing improvements to your bottom line. This seminar will define Field Productivity, discuss the effects of low Field Productivity, and outline approaches to increasing Field Productivity.  

This one-day workshop covers: 

  • Introduction to Field Productivity 
  • The Contractor’s Role in Improving Productivity 
  • The Supervisor’s Role in Improving Field Productivity 
  • Labour Productivity 
  • Equipment Productivity 
  • Factors that Impact Productivity 
  • Quantifying Lost Productivity 

 

Delivery Method: Virtual Session - GoToTraining Platform.  

Course Fee Includes: Access to the course, course materials, and a digital certificate upon completion. 

 

This course is delivered in partnership with local and provincial construction associations across Canada. You may be participating with a group of industry peers from multiple regions.

Sharing a single registration between two or more individuals is not permitted. Please register each person that will be in attendance.

There are no prerequisites for this course.   

 

Who Should Attend

This course would be beneficial for anyone whose work is described in industry contracts: Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Construction Managers, Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, and Estimators of all levels will benefit from the workshop. This course is for Contractors and Sub-Contractors in all segments of the Construction Industry.

Course Credit Information

 

The course is eligible for 2 CCA Gold Seal education credits upon completion. 

 

Registrants seeking gold seal credits for this course will be required to complete an assessment during the course to qualify to have the gold seal credit endorsement appear on their certificate of completion.

Technical Requirements

  1. Computer or laptop
  •  
    • This course will involve on-screen interaction with your instructor and classmates, reading/viewing on-screen content (slides or videos), and interacting via typing with questions or responses. For this reason, cell phones may not be adequate. 
    • Windows 10 or Mac iOS. 
  1. Webcam (Mandatory)– in order to engage and collaborate, participants will be expected to have their webcams on for the duration of the class
  2. Microphone (Mandatory)
  3. Internet connection- For best results, you will want to ensure you have an internet connection with an upload/download speed of 3-5 Mbps. You can test your internet speed here. The minimum recommended speed is 1.5 Mbps, but anything below 3 Mbps may result in loss of quality or buffering. Ideally hardwired connection versus wireless for stability - connect your computer directly to your router using an ethernet cable, rather than using your home wi-fi.
  4. A quiet space with minimal distractions –The microphone will be engaged for interactive sessions. Please plan to be fully engaged in the class and clear your work schedule just as you would for the in-class program.

Cancellation &
Refund Policy

COURSE REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS:

Cancellations received at least 14 business days prior to the course will result in a full refund.

Cancellations received less than 14 business days but more than 7 full business days prior to the course are subject to an administration fee of $100 per day for full and half-day seminars, or $25 for breakfast sessions.

Registrants who do not show up for a course, and/or who do not notify BCRB at least 7 full business days prior to the course date will be assessed the full cost of the course. There will be no refunds or credits in this case.

Substitution of attendees is permitted up to and including the day of the course.

 

COURSE CANCELLATION BY BCRB:

BCRB may have to postpone or cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment, in which case BCRB's liability will be limited to a refund of the registration fee.
