Description

The Traffic Control Supervisor (previously called Lane Closure Technician) course is developed to provide seasoned TCPs with the next step in effective Traffic Control training. Traffic Control Supervisors are Mandatory under Part 18 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and need to be compliant in all aspects of Traffic Control.

 

NOTE: Participants must achieve a minimum of 80% on the written exam to be certified. There is no option for a re-write.

  • Regulations & standards, including those set out in the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Assessing Risk and understanding Traffic Management Plans

  • Basic personnel and management skills

Prerequisites

REQUIRED

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid drivers license
  • A valid Traffic Control Person Certification


RECOMMENDED

  • At least 2 years of field experience as a Traffic Control Person
  • At least 2 years of driving experience

Cancellation &
Refund Policy

COURSE REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS:

Cancellations received at least 14 business days prior to the course will result in a full refund.

Cancellations received less than 14 business days but more than 7 full business days prior to the course are subject to an administration fee of $100 per day for full and half-day seminars, or $25 for breakfast sessions.

Registrants who do not show up for a course, and/or who do not notify BCRB at least 7 full business days prior to the course date will be assessed the full cost of the course. There will be no refunds or credits in this case

 

COURSE CANCELLATION BY BCRB:

BCRB may have to postpone or cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment, in which case BCRB's liability will be limited to a refund of the registration fee.
