QuickBooks Advanced

 

This advanced QuickBooks course is designed for experienced users who want to master the software’s full suite of capabilities, with a focus on high-level financial operations and strategic planning. Participants will learn how to manage payroll efficiently, track and adjust inventory, prepare accurate year-end reports, and set up and monitor budgets to support financial forecasting. The course also covers project tracking and job costing, enabling users to analyze profitability and performance across departments or client engagements.


Through hands-on exercises and real-world scenarios, learners will gain the skills to streamline complex accounting workflows, ensure compliance, and generate insights that drive smarter business decisions. Ideal for accountants, financial managers, and business owners, this course empowers users to take full control of their financial data using QuickBooks’ advanced tools. A solid understanding of QuickBooks fundamentals is required to get the most out of this program.

This course is delivered in partnership with local and provincial construction associations across Canada. You will be participating with a group of industry peers from multiple regions. 

Sharing a single registration between two or more individuals is not permitted. Please register each person who will be in attendance.

Prerequisites

Prior completion of the Quickbooks Part 1 course is required for students to enroll in this course.

Technical Requirements

  1. Computer or laptop
  •  
    • This course will involve on-screen interaction with your instructor and classmates, reading/viewing on-screen content (slides or videos), and interacting via typing with questions or responses. For this reason, cellphones may not be adequate. 
    • Windows 10 or Mac iOS. 
  1. Webcam (Mandatory)– in order to engage and collaborate, participants will be expected to have their webcams on for the duration of the class
  2. Microphone (Mandatory)
  3. Internet connection- For best results, you will want to ensure you have an internet connection with an upload/download speed of 3-5 Mbps. You can test your internet speed here. The minimum recommended speed is 1.5 Mbps, but anything below 3 Mbps may result in loss of quality or buffering. Ideally hardwired connection versus wireless for stability - connect your computer directly to your router using an ethernet cable, rather than using your home wi-fi.
  4. A quiet space with minimal distractions –The microphone will be engaged for interactive sessions. Please plan to be fully engaged in the class and clear your work schedule just as you would for the in-class program.
  5. Comfortable chair

Who Should Attend

This course is for current Quickbooks users seeking advanced functionality not covered in Part 1. It builds on existing knowledge, covering topics like company file setup, preference modification, bank reconciliation, class reporting, user security, and advanced payroll.

Cancellation &
Refund Policy

COURSE REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS:

Cancellations received at least 14 business days prior to the course will result in a full refund.

Cancellations received less than 14 business days but more than 7 full business days prior to the course are subject to an administration fee of $100 per day for full and half-day seminars, or $25 for breakfast sessions.

Registrants who do not show up for a course, and/or who do not notify CITN at least 7 full business days prior to the course date will be assessed the full cost of the course. There will be no refunds or credits in this case.

Substitution of attendees is permitted up to and including the day of the course.

 

COURSE CANCELLATION BY CITN:

CITN may have to postpone or cancel courses due to insufficient enrolment, in which case CITN’s liability will be limited to a refund of the registration fee.
